A former U.S. Navy Captain and defense technology strategist, Scott is the COO & VP for Strategic Partnerships at Startup Science, a leader in human-machine interface research for defense, aerospace and intelligence.

With 27 years in the Navy, he held senior roles in strategy, policy, and innovation, commanding USS Mustin (DDG 89) and USS Zumwalt (DDG 1000).​
