Colonel (Ret) Raymond "Ray" Jones retired from the U.S. Army in 2012.
An accomplished leader and innovator, he founded a successful defense consulting company providing expert advice in defense acquisition and technology management, serving as the CEO until transitioning to academia as a Professor of Practice in defense acquisition. While in the Army, Ray held several key positions including Military Deputy to the Director for Acquisition Resources and Analysis in the Office of the Secretary of Defense, and assistant Joint Program Executive Officer for the Joint Tactical Radio System (JTRS) Program. A 1995 graduate of the U.S. Naval Test Pilot School, Ray has over ten years and 3,000 hours of flight test experience. His education includes a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from the United States Military Academy, a Master of Science in Aeronautical Engineering, a Master of Business Administration, and a Master of National Resource Strategy from the Industrial College of the Armed Forces.
